Suggest Treatment For Kidney Stone Stuck At The Ureter

Question: Hi there,
I have a ct scan confirmed kidney stone 8 mm in the bottom of my ureter hanging a bit into the bladder. Ct scan was last Monday. My pain has subsided and now I'm having difficulty urinating(slight pain) and penile pain. The urologist had given me two weeks from the ct scan to pass it and then would perform the stent/laser needle in my urethra to break it up. I'd prefer passing it on my own. Does it sound as though it may have made its way into my bladder based on my symptoms? I'm on antibiotics as well as a preventative -and flow XXXXXXX and Advil (would've liked something stronger--pain was rather bad). Thanks!
Bad wording on my part---the antibiotics are being taken as a preventative in case of uti.

Hi Sir,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic .
Stone of size 8mm are less likely to pass by its own. According to your symptoms, yes, it appears your stone has moved down and stuck at bladder and urethra junction so you are having pain and difficulty in urination.
actually for such stone you may take pain killer diclofenac along with tamsulosin. These are prescription drugs. Since it is stuck there I advice you to reconsult your urologist and discuss regarding need for blast of stone .
Usually antibiotics are given because chances of uti will be more.
Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
