Suggest Treatment For Kidney Stone

Question: I have had kidney stones for a while and at times i feel a sensation of swelling on my lower abdomen.
I have had lithotripsy few years back but now the stones have formed again.
Can you please suggest if i should go for surgery or any other form of treatment.
Also a suggestion of a specialist in XXXXXXX would be appreaciated.

Thanks for query .

Based on the facts that you have posted you seem to have been detected to have stone in the kidney and have previous history of kidney stone fragmented by ESWL.

The modality of treatment for kidney stone is decided and depends upon following factors
1) Size of the stone
2) Site (Location of stone)
3) Effect of the stone on kidney function
4) Status of kidney function as determined by Renal Function Tests
5) Severity of symptoms

I shall be happy if you can post me more details to help me in making precise comments
1) Have you consulted any Urologist ?
2) Have you undergone relevant tests like
a)Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen ,X-Ray of abdomen
b)Urine routine and culture examination
c) Blood tests to asses kidney function
d) Intra Venous Pyelography
3) Please upload reports of these tests so as to make me precise comments and suggest the line of treatment .

As of today, I have not done any of the tests mentioned by you.

Can you please suggest me a course of action i should take and recommend me to a diagnostic lab that can help me getting these tests done.

Thanks for follow up .

I am rather surprised with your own diagnosis of you having kidney stone without doing any test It requires not but the least to get Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen to confirm presence of stone in kidney .

Consult qualified Urologist he will guide you for the tests which I have suggested or You may directly go yourself to diagnostic center like Medinova Diagnostic center in XXXXXXX and get these tests done .
