Suggest Treatment For Kidney Stones, Back And Abdominal Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 30 Nov 2015
Question: Hi Doctor. after a few weeks of niggling pain in back and groin/abdomen I finally passed a number of small kidney stones today. very uncomfortable sensation! I have noticed a marked reduction in the level of discomfort since I passed them. I went to my GP who saw the stones and confirmed they were kidney stones, and she prescribed Antibiotics incase of a resulting UTI.

just now, I have passed urine and it is very cloudy. no foul smell or anything, but cloudy enough for me to notice. Could this be connected
to the stones I passed earlier? Also, are Kidney stones ever indicative of an underlying conditions? thanks

Brief Answer:
Get Urine culture done .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .

You have recently passed stones from the kidney and have noticed your urine to be cloudy .

In most of the cased cloudy urine associated with kidney stone is due to superadded UTI .

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.
Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily . Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water . To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.

Metabolic disorder and UTI is the commonest cause for getting urinary stones.

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
