Suggest Treatment For Kidney Stones
Suggested to visit urologist
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your query.
I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
Stones less than 5 mm in size should be given an opportunity to pass. A 4 mm stone has an 80% chance of passage while a 5 mm stone has a 20% chance. Stones larger than 9 mm-10 mm rarely pass without specific treatment.
If a kidney stone is too big to be passed naturally (6-7mm in diameter or larger), you may need to have treatment to remove it another way. These includes extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy.
In my clinic I would have referred a similar case to urologist for further evaluation.
I do hope that have found something useful to help you. I will be here to provide suggestion to further questions.
Wish you good health. Take care.
