Suggest Treatment For Knee Pain And Swelling After A Knee Arthroscopy

Arthroscopy can increase pain in osteoarthritis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. I have seen such problems many time in my practice. Arthroscopy causes washing of pain substances in knee so initially there is decrease in pain but when patient increases activity some time there is more pain and swelling. That is suggestive of advance knee arthritis. I have following suggestions for you.
1. You can get steroid and hyaluronic injection in knee for pain relief.
2. Avoid sqautting and sitting cross leg.
3.Knee cap can be worn.
4. Physiotherapy in form of static quadriceps exercises.
5. If there is severe pain then you should also rule out infection. It can be done by blood tests and knee fluid examination.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
