Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. To help you better please send the x-ray picture. There is no harm in delaying the surgery provided he do not require pain killer in excess and 7 days a week and 365 day.
My suggestion would be-
1.Maintain weight according to height with regular knee exercises.
2.Avoid sitting on floor .
3.May take Glucosamin and chondroitin sulphate (cap.rejoint),injection synvisc is also good option in early arthritis, to delay the surgery.
Hope this suffices.
Take care
