Suggest Treatment For Lack Of Appetite And Morning Sickness
GERD/acid reflux suspected;endoscopy report is needed...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and I can say as following:
1. You are saying to:
- be feeling sick in the mornings
- not having much appetite
- burping will be followed by a sinking feeling dropping your stomach down
- smoking marijuanna 2 cigarettes/day
You are also reporting to have had an endoscopy and was given a course of medications. Can you please provide the endoscopy results so I can analyze them myself? Can you also provide the names of medications you've been taking?
2. From what you are describing, it seems that you are having stomach problems (most probably GERD/acid reflux). However, the endoscopy report will help me understand if you are having only reflux problems or any other stomach issues (e.g. gastritis? ulcer? esophagitis)?
3. In such cases, I advise my patients to:
- have frequent meals with small portions; try not skip the meals although you are not having appetite
- do not lay down immediately after eating
- sleep with 2 pillows
- avoid foods that will aggravate your symptoms: chilly/spicy/oily/fried/alcohol
- take PPIs early in the morning and ranitidine at bedtime; antacids after eating
4. Further tests to evaluate your liver/gallbladder are also recommended for a complete evaluation of your health problems.
Without a proper treatment based on the tests results and without following a healthy diet and lifestyle regimene, your symptoms will continue being present all the time.
All the best!
