Thanks for the query under HCM.
* I read your query carefully. You have left hand pain along with chest pain. You have investigated for heart involvement several times before,still the type of pain creates anxiety, I understand your concern.
Chest pain with left hand pain can be caused by several other conditions other than heart problem Including angina pain. They are- Osteoporosis, Cervical spondylosis, disc problems, cervical rib( causing pressure on nerves) psychological stress, Excessive physical exercises( like weight lifting,running,vigorous stretches )- causing muscular pain , It can be two conditions causing chest pain& left arm pain at a time like arthritis of shoulder joint & dyspepsia/bloating stomach by GERD.
- Though you had cardiac investigations before this , I would suggest to exclude( specially anginal pain) by consulting a cardiologist to start with. It's always better to play safe.
-Investigations for bones & muscles normality - blood is tested for serum calcium, serum Vitamin D. Bone density test.
- Xray/ CT scan/ MRI of cervical spine for cervical spondylosis / slipped disc, cervical rib.
* In this context I would suggest you to consult your family doctor first. He will examine you thoroughly & refer you to a physician/cardiologist/orthopedic surgeon as per his opinion.
The specialist would examine & order few investigations ,which will include few of above ones.
* after finding the exact cause specific treatment will be offered- which may include physio therapy / calcium & vitamin D replacement/ NASID for relieving pain Vitamin B complex( specially B12 for sore nerves)/ drugs to manage blood pressure, heart problem/ anginal pain..
* Self help- Apart from doctors advise & physio therapy you need to be careful & have an ideal life style-
- A well balanced diet ,with less fats/sweets./ plenty of veges, fruits & salads/ milk/ plenty of water & fibers in diet.
- Have regular exercises/physiotherapy as per advise./daily walking.to maintain ideal weight.
- Quiet night sleep at least for 7-8 hours.
- avoid excessive stressful exercises.
