Suggest Treatment For Left Sided Abdominal Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 14 Sep 2015
Question: I have had left side abdominal pain for the last month. I went to urgent care and they said it was a Kidney infection. A week later I went to my primary care doctor, he took a blood sample and my bilirubin levels came back elevated. He is referring me to a gastroenterologist. The pain worsens when I eat and I have been nauseous.

Get ultrasound scanning of abdomen done.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have pain in abdomen on left side .

1) Do you have any urinary symptoms ?
2) Do you have vomiting associated with pain in abdomen.?

Since your serum bilirubin levels have raised it could be due to liver infection and needs to consult qualified Gastroenterologist and get following basic tests doem to establish diagnosis.
1) Haemogram
2) Urine routine and culture
3) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen .
4) Liver function tests.

In the mean while continue taking medicines prescribed by your primary physician .

Further treatment will depend upon results of these tests and final diagnosis .

I urinary symptoms for one day, but they went away. I have vomited a couple of time due to the side pain. There is no discoloration of the eyes.
