Question: Have a small triangular brown spot on my soft palate (top of uvula). Looks like it is getting smaller. Also, looks like how a scratch on skin heals. Notice it a week ago. No pain. Could this be cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query. It would be very helpful if you could provide a picture of the lesion ,so I can evaluate it.
Since you noticed it only a week ago and it is getting smaller ,it is very unlikely to be something serious like cancer. It can be a minor scratch from food ,or inflammation of mucosa. In this case ,the lesion will go away on it's own.
I would suggest to give it some time and if it doesn't go away in 1-2 weeks consult a physician for proper evaluation.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any question.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
