Brief Answer:
Not melanoma
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
It's not melanoma.
Melanoma lesions will never go away on its own.
Probably he has developed Urticaria.
Its a common allergic reaction.
In urticaria, the lesions appear all over body and subside on their own.
If possible, please upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.

I was not able to upload a picture. It is always in the same spot. It kind of bubbles up then it kind of just flakes off. Kind of stays a raised spot in the same spot for the last 10 years
Brief Answer:
Psoriatic patch
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the follow up.
If it is at same spot it can never be melanoma.
Rest assured there is nothing to worry.
It might be a psoriatic patch or a mild eczema.
Apply a mild steroid cream like cortisone twice daily for a week.
This should give him good response.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
