Suggest Treatment For Lice Infestation On Head
luck finding out. My hair has a gooey stuff on it. also cut hair real short in May And is just now growing some. It is strange with all the washing of hair it is not dry. Also have picture of gooey stuff and the tangled hair from a 40 to 60 strength microscope attached to my phone showing the gooey stuff plus the tangled hair on my nit comb. They don't even exam it. I take baths and nit comb 1 or 2 times a day. Used hydrogen peroxide on hair(per a naturapathic dr) on hair and body also had bites and sores on body helped by 50% then started taking "Parafree" internally from a herbalist in August and that stopped the bites and decreased the movements.. I contiuue to use colliode silver , tree tree oil ,neem oil and etc on my head. If it gets to bad I soak in epson salts and baking soda that settles them down. I am lots lots better but Still have some. Had scabs in ears for along time also my ear canal was very painful and swollen shut several times.
This sounds to me like a horror movie. Thought it was lice . Oh my husband also had it, but not bad.( l think he still does cause he nit combed his hair just last week. Could it be a mite. Thank you for any help and information , 10 months is a long time without assistance.

Oral antibiotics, topical permethrin lotion
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I can understand your concern regarding the skin condition you have been facing for long.
From your history and description, it seems likely that you are having lice infestation also known as pediculosis capitis.
In cases of Head lice infestation, I generally recommend a week long course of oral antibiotic like cotrimoxazole.
Also I recommend application of permethrin 1% lotion followed by hairwash after 1 hour and manual removal of lice and nits with comb.
Repeat the application of permethrin lotion after 10 days.
Permethrin lotion should be applied in similar fashion by rest of family members too.
Use a good antidandruff shampoo to clean your scalp and hair.
Oral antihistaminics like Benadryl can be taken to relieve itching if any.
Launder or dry clean your pillow covers and bed sheets.
Hope this will resolve the issue.
Let me know if you require any further assistance from my side.
Thank you

Recommend you to follow the treatment protocol advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I can understand your confusion, but given the history of crawling sensation, matting of hair and presence of slimy discharge are all suggestive of lice infestation.
I would recommend you to follow the treatment protocol I highlighted for in my previous message.
I am sure you will be fine soon.
Take care
