Question: my 10nyr old crashed skiing a few weeks ago 3 to be specific. she's a good skier so was probably going 15 mph or faster i'd say. she skied on it and has since but she's been having some popping and tonight said it popped at gymnastics twice causing her pain. can this potentially be a torn ACL/MCL ?

If it had been a tear in ACL/MCL the clinical presentation had been totally different. She should not been able to go for gymnastics then.

ACL/MCL tear casuses excruciating pain and unbearable misery. There is no such issue in her case. The pain she has is of muscular origin. Applying VOLTAREN GEL will help a lot. Plus take ACETAMINOPHEN by mouth if needed.

Ask her for complete bedrest and take healthy diet.
