- upper endoscopy (to evaluate if you are having esophageal varices, stomach ulcer)
- colonoscopy
- complete blood count (to evaluate if you have anemia)
If you are taking iron supplements, that could be also another cause to black stool. Meanwhile, marijuana won't affect stool color.
