Suggest Treatment For Liver Cyst
Question: My daughter is 36 with 2 children that were born ceserion. She was in bad auto wreck at 13.She lost her spleen. She is now having pain in her side as though it is gall bladder. Gall bladder removed appox 10 yrs ago. They found a cyst the size of an orange on her liver and aspirated that. That is where they have left her. Now she does not know what to do. What type of doctor should we be looking for?

Pain on one side doesn't indicate any intra abdominal disease always.
Aspiration is one of the option for Simple liver cyst.The progression of the cyst should be confirmed by Ultrasound abdomen.
I prefer to get an Ultrasound abdomen. If Ultrasound is normal, then the pain could be due to musculoSkeletal cause. I prescribe Skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside to my patients with similar complaints.

She has already had a colonoscopy and EDG. They found nothing,except a hieatal hernia. She had the ultra sound of liver and found the cyst on her liver. So now they have aspirated it and there is no relieve. The surgeon sent her back to her pcp who does not know what it is. Where to now?
