Brief Answer:
Yes could be infection of skin
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Loose stools usually cause reddish rash.
But purple dots indicate infection of skin ( bacterial or fungal like candida)
It is better to consult your doctor.
He may need antifungal or antiseptic ointments along with emollients .
Avoid wipes and tissue to clean.
Better to clean with water and mild soap.
Wishing your child speedy recovery.
