Suggest Treatment For Loose Stools And Pulsating Shocks From Left Abdomen

Question: Three doctors from HCM provide the following preliminary diagnosis for my symptoms: IBM or Coliac Disease.
I have had more than 2 bowel movements daily. My stools are loose (not diarrhea-like), grainy, or XXXXXXX I have had pulsating shocks from my left abdomen, up to my shoulder and head. I have seen mucus in my stool. I rarely felt the need to have a bowel movement, except when my stomach starts to create excessive amount of gas that travel from left to right, and hurt a bit. For the last five days, I have stop eating certain food that contain gluten. Up to now, I haven't seen any improvement. I want to be patient but my symptoms seem to get worse day after day. I will schedule a visit with my gastroenterologist or family doctor soon to get, at least, a routine stool test performed. What can I do? Help.

Detailed Answer:
It is a good idea to meet the gastroenterologist.
Best to have a colonoscopy and usg of the abdomen as well.
Its good that you have taken dietary measures.
It may still take 2-3 months to show effect.
You may also need steroidal support.
Best meet the gastroenterologist who can confirm with colonoscopy.

I had had a colonoscopy done about a year ago, and what is a usg of the abdomen? Can the thyroid medication have an effect as well? I have been taking a thyroid med with empty stomach in the morning. Is there any other way to take thyroid med beside empty stomach? And why the need for steroids?
