Suggest Treatment For Loose Tender Dead Skin Over Shaft Of Penis

Question: there is a narrow band of the shaft skin near the side of the head of my penis that has a recurring sloughing of skin that is sometimes a bit shiny looking, other times some loose dead skin, sometimes a bit tender or very mildly itchy but never actually painful. It comes and goes, and has been around for some months. If I leave it completely alone for a time it tends to scab over and appear healed but then it returns. I have not seen a doctor about (no health care coverage) and have not tried any creams or ointments yet.

I understand your concern. I would like to say there is nothing to worry since it is very normal and seen in many males.

It is itching because of drying of skin cells. Please moisturize the area and always stay hydrated. Dehydration might cause breakdown of cells in genital area and increase itchiness. You can try taking anti allergy pills too for a week to decrease itching.
