Suggest Treatment For Loss Of Hair In Patches

My hairdresser has said that there are hair follicles clearly in place, but some of them have no hairs growing from them.
My family has a history of hair loss. However, it started for all of them late into their twenties. I am currently 17 years of age. My diet could be better and i find myself more or less highly strung.
Im sincerely hoping that there is a way to promote hair growth and regain a more even, and consistent look on my head.
You need a dermatologist review
Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.
Based on the history you have shared, and having family backround of baldness running in the family, chances are higher to have thin hair follicles, and patchy baldness or follicles frequency may be less, but since the age of onset is too early, it needs to be evaluated by a dermatologist for alopecia erata or for tinea capitus or any other fungal infection leading to disruption of hair follicles. In that case anti fungal shampoos may be needed but it all would be decided by a careful review by a dermatologist. Meanwhile good protien intake and zinc, calcium and selenium containing multivitamin supplements will help to have good hair growth. Wishing you a great health. Regards.
