Suggest Treatment For Low Grade Depression

Question: I have what i will term "low-grade" depression for most of my adult lfe wherein i could always push through and work and live my life effectively although i always believed there should be more happiness and lightheartedness. i have taken a number of SSRI antidepressants with virtually no effect over the years. I took Wellbutrin Extended Release and some degree of success with that drug but began to suffer memory loss after about 6 years so i got off of it. Now, about 5 years later, i have been prescribed Effexor XR. i started with 37.5 for 1 week, 75 for 4 weeks and 150 for 3 weeks. i have adult ADHD and found that, at 75 mg, i began to experience more organization to my thoughts and began to function better at work and at home. My problem is motivation and focus. Should i expect help from the 225mg dose for these issues? i am convinced that the norepinephrine is what i need. i have also taken Tramadol very occasionally when the pinched nerve in my neck starts acting up. The feeling that i get from the Tramadol is a general sense of good well-being. That's the same thing I remember from Wellbutrin. That is what i am hoping for on the 225mg Effexor XR. Today is day 8 since i upped the dose (with Dr.'s permission of course. Thanks for your thoughts.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
you may take dose of venlaflexine up to 225 mg if you have better with that dose and not having any side effects.
You can take tramadol on SOS basis there is no problem with it if takes SOS.
there are many newer drugs which helps you better than venlaflexine like Desvenlaflexine, sertraline etc...
first of all detail history and mental status examination is necessary to diagnose properly.
and also which are the medication you tried and in what dose and for what period?
In your case psychotherapy also works best.
Discuss with your treating doctor about it.
