Clomid effects mostly noted in women...
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
Clomid is the trade name for the generic clomiphene which is a non-steroidal medication used to treat fertility in women. It stimulates the production and secretion of hormones responsible for ovulation.
There are only few cases when clomid is used to treat testosterone in males of your age. In most of countries, it is not approved to treat infertility in men.
If I was your caring doctor, would go deeper with investigations in order to find out why you are having low testosterone levels:
- is it due to primary problems with testicles? (primary): genetic, undescedent testicles, trauma/injury?
- or is it due to problems in the hypothalamus or pituitary gland where signals are given to the testicles to produce testosterone.
Clomid is included in the hormonal replacement therapy and I'm happy it worked for you. However, you should take it as advised by your endocrinologist as its long-term use can lead to various side effects including prostate cancer.
Its use depends on:
- your actual testosterone levels (I need to have your tests reports for further evaluation)
- your overall health condition?
- other health concerns you might be having?
Conducting a healthy lifestyle and diet regimen can also improve testosterone levels.
Hope it helped!

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for providing additional medical data of yours.
From my own personal experience, some of my patients using clomid (there are only few of them) has reported the same satisfactory results as in your case. With regards to side effects related to long-term use of it, until now, none of my patients have reported any serious problems apart GI issues like bloating.
Prostate cancer is my only concern. That's why I usually recommend my patients to report to me any unusual symptoms they would experience and to run regular check ups when on Clomid.
Hope it helped!

Following advice for bloating while on Clomid...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
As mentioned earlier, I advise to check for any unusual symptom you might have, write them down and can send to me or report to your doctor. Thus, it will be easier for me or for your doctor to assist you specifically.
With regards to bloating, there are 2 main options:
- permanent: stop of medication is the solution
- temporary - solution: eat often and small portions, avoid foods that would increase bloating, chew up slowly, can take OTC probiotics and simethicone to get relief from bloating.
Hope it helped!

I have an other question about HGH injection does it shut down the production naturally after we finish the cycle ..
does it need pct post cycle therapy like testosterone injection
thanks
No need...See the following...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for following up.
Now, let me summarize your medical history:
You are an adult male with low testosterone levels. This makes you less fertile. You have already completed a cycle of testosterone replacement therapy with levels of testosterone not as satisfactory as desired.
For the moment you are using Clomid (clomiphene). To make you understand how it works, let me explain as following:
The pituitary gland is secreting a hormone (LH) that stimulates the testis to produce testosterone. Then, this testosterone is turned into estrogen which gives signals to pituitary gland (PG) to stop producing LH.
Clomid blocks the signal that estrogen is giving to PG, thus, PG gets signals to use more LH. The LH will tell the testis to produce more testosterone.
Now, you are telling about another hormone: HGH injections (gonatropin injections). For your information, there are 2 types of gonatropin hormones: FSH (responsible for sperm production) and LH (for testosterone production).
So, the injections contains one or both of these hormones depending on what it is lacking in your body. If you are having low testosterone levels, then, LH injections are prescribed to increase it.
As you may see, the final result is Increase in Testosterone level, so, no need for more testosterone injections. However, final decision is made after a complete hormonal balance in made.
Hope it helped!
