Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
Do you have back pain that radiates to the left lower limb?
Any tingling or numbness?
You have a mild disc bulge that is compressing on the nerve going to your legs.
The degree of compression is very less, so nothing to worry about.
Avoid bending forwards or lifting weights. Apply hot packs to the painful regions. Take Tablet Diclofenac with Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet Ranitidine 150mg twice a day for 5 days before meals. If your have tingling and numbness, hot can take Tablet Pregabalin 75mg with Methylcobalamin combination once at night for 2 months.
Continue physiotherapy and request for TENS treatment as well.
Don't take Tablet Neuroday. It is not useful for your condition.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
Regards,
Dr. Aashish Raghu

Thanks for the reply.
Usually dehydration in the disc is the first stage in slip disc disease. This can progress to slip discs if care isn't taken. The disc hydration doesn't change according to the time of the day.
No need to stop using the bike. It is advisable to not sit continuously more than half an hour. Do get up and walk around for 5 minutes and extend your back a bit. Avoid forward bending.
Do use ergonomic keyboard and mouse. Keep the compost screen at eye level. Use proper lighting. Do back extension exercise. Do physiotherapy for lower back muscle strengthening. Eat diet rich in protein, fresh fruit and vegetables. Drink 2 litres of water daily.

Thank you.
is their is solution to rehydrate or improve hydration of discs ?
Doesn't this disc buldge usually takes longer time to heal ? usually if I apply heat packs and use some hard surfaced mat (acupressure) around back for few mins pain wi reduce and allows me to sleep.
Prevent progression

Dehydration of disc cannot be reversed. Though you can prevent the progression of the degeneration by the precautions mentioned earlier.

Detailed Answer:
Lower back discs as seen in the MRI are dehydrated.
Dehydration of disc is the first stage of disc prolapse or slip disc. It is not a normal funding and things can progress to slip disc in few years in care and precautions aren't taken.
