Suggest Treatment For Lump On Tip Of Penis

default
Posted on Thu, 5 Feb 2015
Question: I have had a lump on the tip of my penis in the same spot for years now. I has never gone away. Its located beneath my urination hole. It does not hurt, but it bothers me looking at it. I was wondering what you think it is? Also I would like to get it removed but do not know where to start in the process. Plus, I am scared it will hurt horribly.

Brief Answer:
a possibility of genital molluscum

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the Image.

I can see a single smooth surfaced bump on the underside of glans.
From your description this is an asymptomatic bump that has remained as such for years.

This is most likely a lesion of Molluscum Contagiosusm.

Genital molluscum usually presents with smooth surfaced, pearly white, asymptomatic bumps.

It is an infection, caused by a virus (known as Molluscum contagiosum virus).

Molluscum lesions usually have a central umblication/dent which is quite characteristic of these.

These can be easily removed, either vaporized with a Co 2 Laser Or by needle extraction of molluscum body.
The procedure would be done under local anesthesia and therefore would be painless.

I suggest you to visit a dermatologist in your region for the needful.

Regards
