Question: I have throat infection. Lumps on my throat. I can see them when I open my mouth. I was prescribed with azee 500 for 5 days.. I can see the lumps have become smaller in size but still there. But I am done with the course. Will it still cure my infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The lumps are due to infection and will take 7-10 days to completely disappear. Please dont worry.

If your pain has come down and there is no fever then you will not need any more antibiotic and can stop azee.
However if you still have more pain while swallowing or fever is persisting, then you can take azee 500mg for 2 more days.

I would however like you to gargle with warm salt water 3-4 times a day for at least another 4-5 days as it will help prevent further infection and soothe your throat.
