Question: My long time childhood sweetheart just hooked up recently after 30 of living apart. I noticed that he has groups of lumps size like an olive in his arms and legs. He said that his not worried about it coz his mom told him that his aunt has the same. Is it true that it just fat tissue? He doesn't gain weight instead he gets that lumps . ? He's always tired and get sick easily. Last week he had diarrhea so I gave him pills for it. Instead of getting better, he got chills, and temperature .

Brief Answer:
Lipoma or Neurofibroma

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Are we talking about freely movable, firm lumps and multiple in number at different locations?
If he says it is fat masses, then they are lipomas and do not need be worried. They are 100% benign and need not be removed.
Other case is Neurofibroma which are present similar to lipomas, the doctor can recognize them with a biopsy.

Both of them may not be related to weight gain. But lipomas are very common, benign fat tissues.
