Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I have gone through the image provided. Your treating doctor is correct. For subluxation(disruption) between cuboid and metatarsal bone, plaster cast is required for immobilization.
Meanwhile do icing and elevate the limb. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care

Hi,
Thanks for the info.I want an independent opinion from you w.r.t to the treatment of my fracture.
Assume my case was brought to you as it is,what steps would u take to fix it?
a. Heal it non-surgical way using cast ?
b Heal it surgically?
By looking at my fracture what is your assessment?Do u think there is a chance of healing by cast?

Brief Answer:
I would like to treat it surgically.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
However there is a chance of healing by cast, I would like to treat it by percutaneous intramedullary screw fixation. The surgery is relatively simple with low morbidity and it facilitates faster and higher union rates.
Wishing you speedy recovery...
