Suggest Treatment For Marble Lodged In Anus Accidentally
Question: XXXXXX
My Daughter is 8 and says she was playing and accidentally lodged a marble in her anus- I am pretty sure she was experimenting with her body but she won't tell me- it happened very quickly on a commercial break of her TV show while I was folding laundry. She is very upset. I don't want her to push too hard on the toilet- she may strain something- she says she didn't push it up too far but I can't see it. Will a laxative help? Or just wait for her regular bowel movement- I am afraid a laxative will produce loose stool that will not move the marble.
Luckily keeping her calm and having her think of other things let nature take its course. The marble is dislodged and she is now doing ballerina moves and had donated all of her marbles to her brother. Thanks anyway.

Brief Answer:
Thanks and happy for you!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about what happened. You did the right thing by just waiting and not doing anything aggressive. This is the general approach you should always adopt when there is nothing life threatening going on. Aggressive measures would at the end prove more damaging if done in a haste without clear justifications.
I wish you well. I wish her well. I hope it never happens again. Feel free to always come to us for information and clarifications on health. We promise to make your experience worthwhile.
