Suggest Treatment For Migraine Associated With Vomiting
My symptoms are that I get headache early morning, after which I have vomitting. Sometimes the headache turns into migraine and I continue to have it for one to two days. In such case I take medicine for headache like Crocin pain relief. Such headache comes two to three times in a week.
In other cases I get migraine attack on left side of front part of the head. Atleast three times in a year, I had to be admitted in hospital and had to take Voveran injection along with vomitting prevention and anti acidity injection.
I do not take spicy or oily food. If on any occasions I take such food then I definitely have a headache on next morning.
I had CT scan of head which was normal. In ultrasound I have mild fatty acid. Pl suggest what treatment I should have.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for the query.
I understand your concern.
Well migraine is frequently associated with vomiting which might be perceived by patients as increase in acidity. Also some painkillers like voveran may increase acidity (good you need them infrequently).
There are many medicines available for migraine. You need to see your neurologist again for optimisation of medications for migraine to control the symptoms well. He may add some medications like flunarizine in addition to control symptoms long term. Control of headache may also control acidity too to some extent.
You are already on correct treatment for acidity. Also worthwhile getting an endoscopy done if not done earlier. In addition lifestyle modification will help to control your symptoms in long term,
1) Eating on time
2) Taking adequate sleep
3) Regular walking
4) Avoiding sleep 2 hours after meals
5) Cutting down on stress, anxiety, tobacco, alcohol
All this will help you to control symptoms in long run.
Hope this answers your query.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
Happy to help.

Still I am having regular headache and acidity. On the night that I take Pandy 40, I do not get headache on next morning. Same goes if I take spicy food on few occassion followed by Pandy.
I want to know that should I go for treatment of acidity or for migraine.
Thanks
Probably a good idea to rule out migraines, Ranitidine may help in the short term

Hello
Thank you for the query.
Well acidity and headache may be closely related in many patients.
Hence appropriate treatment of both is very important.
Treating one only may not be adequate and may be ineffective too.
Hence worthwhile seeing a neurologist for migraine.
Also if you are taking pan - D once a day best time to take it is in morning before breakfast.
Also for early morning symptoms can try taking ranitidine 300 mg (two tablets of 150 mg) at night before dinner which is available easily over the counter.
Also worthwhile getting an endoscopy done to look for any hiatus hernia or reflux disease or ulcer in stomach.
Hope this answers your query.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
Best wishes.
