Suggest Treatment For Migraine Headaches, Pain Behind The Right Eye And Nose Bridge Every Morning
I also have the same pain located above my right eye every morning. Above the eye close to the bridge of my nose. Could this be sinus?
I have an original post w more info ive been looking for a second opinion but no one answers.
Thank you
Sinusitis is a possibility.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The location of head pain that you refer to actually may be related to sinusitis, especially if there are other accompanying symptoms such nasal congestion, worsening of pain after exposure to cold etc.
However, increase in migraine headache frequency may be caused also by stressful periods of time, fatigue, work issues, lack of sleep, alcohol use etc.
If you didn't experience any of these migraine triggers mentioned above, sinusitis should be considered and evaluated further by imaging studies such a head CT scan.
Discuss with your doctor about these issues.
Hope I helped you. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

The symptoms have been around for almost a month now. In the beginning it was constant ice pick brain zaps about 10 per day usually. I had constant fatigue i was diagnosed w stress and anxiety from the emergency room. Given xanax and zoloft from psychiatrist due a recent loss in my family i developed anxiety.
I also have a burning on the top of my head like it is tender to touch and hurts. Like a hair hurting type of feeling but worse. Occasionally i get a slicing cutting pain in the top back of my head and front right. Only lasts a second or 2.
I have has chronic neck cracking and discomfort. After a shower my neck will actually crack from tje heat.
I always have pain at the base of my skull left side where my neck hurts i can understand thay being from the neck pain. But the burning and ice pick pains have me frightened. It has been almost 2 months of this. The medicine slowed down the ice pick pains but the burnijg and tenderness as well as the morning headache above my eye is still rhere after 2 weeks. My head still feels very heavy.
A lot of the time i get pain upon movement or looking up or down fast. I dont have much congestion but i do notice crackling sounds in my nose when breathing sometimes as it there is blockage.
I have been petrified of a brain aneurys. But are these symptoms of an unruptured? I have trouble theougout the day w non stop fear of that. The xanax keeps my body calm but i cannot stop thinking about it. I will provide more info if you need.
Thank you!
There is no aneurysm.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Ice pick headaches are primary headaches (in other words no other cause is found), and may be triggered by anxiety.
Since CT scan and blood work resulted okay, you don't have to worry about sinusitis, brain aneurysm etc. The symptoms you describe don't relate to aneurysm or other brain conditions also. Neck cracking also doesn't relate to any condition. Just ease your mind that there is no aneurysm in your case.
Treatment for anxiety should be continued according to your doctor's recommendation.

I have had migraines all my life i jnow what that feels like and this is not it.
Mainly hurts most with movement and sometimes even speaking. I am just curious bc this is what causes most of the anxiety. If the pain went away i wouldnt be as anxious .
Occipital neuralgia for example.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Pain related to movement could also be caused by pinched nerve(s). A part of the skin of the head (back, top and partly both sides of the head) are supplied by upper cervical nerves (occipital nerves). If these nerves are compressed during their pathway, occipital neuralgia should be considered as a possibility.
Again, even if this condition will be the correct diagnosis in your case, it is not life threatening and is treatable. Therefore, it is not necessary to get too anxious.
Discuss this possibility with your doctor. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Literally from the moment i wake up. Allergies? I dont know im just wondering
Allergies unlikely.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Allergies don't cause such symptoms alone, other symptoms should be present too, such as redness, swelling and itching.
I mentioned before that occipital neuralgia could be a possible condition that may result in such symptoms besides migraines.
Discuss with your doctor about occipital neuralgia evaluation.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I have the wet moist stabbing pains at the center or right side of my scalp and left side above my ear but towards the top of my head. They are very brief but always cause anxiety after rather then the anxiety causing them in my opinion. When i tet the pains is when i become nervous.
Do you think my drs can be accurate. When i bring up things like neuralgia or aneurys they dismiss and say anxiety. I guess because the CT scan came back clear?
Anxiety is a diagnosis achieved by exclusion.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
You can ask as many questions as you like, we are here to help you.
Since these pains last only seconds, ice pick headaches should be considered.
Of course your Doctors should be more accurate, to say that symptoms are caused by anxiety, it is necessary first to exclude other possible conditions with certainty.
In my opinion, since a CT-scan resulted normal, conditions such as aneurysm etc., are excluded.
Occipital neuralgia cannot be excluded only by a CT, so, it should be considered too as a possibility.
You need to be reassured that there are no serious life threatening conditions, so it isn't necessary to be anxious.
Hope I helped you. Let me know if I can assist you further.

That was my main concern that it is something imminent so thank you. .
Treatment about occipital neuralgia.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If occipital neuralgia is strongly suspected, treatment initially consists of heat procedures on the neck, rest, physical therapy and muscles relaxer drugs. Anti-convulsivants such as Tegretol or Gabapentin may be used also.
Discuss with your doctor about these issues.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care.
