Suggest Treatment For Mild Cough And Reddish Bumps On The Soft Palate
Question: Dear Otlaryngologist Doctor,
I had unprotected oral and vaginal sex 4 months ago and although have been tested for STD's with negative results, I still have concerns in respect of oral human papiloma virus.
For 2 months I have lumps in the front sides and tip of tongue that would not heal definitively but keep appearing again and again.
For 8 days I am also expiriencing a mild cough with minimal white phlegm or no phlegm at all.
Today I found on small redish bumps in the soft palate (picture 1) and a lump in the back of throat (picture 2 at bottom left and right side).
In your opinion are these any kind of warts or signs of Papiloma Virus?
Thank you

Lumps on tongue hurt/burn but perhaps not lumps themselves bur adjacent area. When it does not hurt it feels a bit numb. I have been taking anti-inflamatories for 2 days and now tongue do not hurt.
Lumps in back of throat and top of palate do not hurt by themselves but have a sore throat.
I am attaching new pictures for ease of reference.
My family doctor saw the tongue 12 days ago and mentioned stomatitis without much observations. i did not have a sore throat nor cough back then.
No fever nor malaise encountered.
Worth to mention I am a male and my encounter at riskwas with a female.
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your attached images.
This possiblly seem like a streptococcal throat infection.
A short course of oral antibiotics like Augmentin should bring you the relief.
I generally prescribe these pills of Tab Augmentin one pill twice a day for 5 days to my patient s with these symptoms.
Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you.
