Suggest Treatment For Mild Pain In Anus Caused By Haemorrhoids
Looks to be prolapse of mucosal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and the very clear picture.
To recapitulate: Female/34 - lumpy purple ring around the anus - no bleeding - minimal pain while passing large stool - for couple of months - tried prep-H - consulted Gyne - fear of anal cancer - wants to know whether this is external hemorrhoid - do they go away ...
The picture you have provided shows this to be prolapsed mucosa and not the hemorrhoids. No, they do not go away. This also give the feeling of a ring around as you have noted.
I would advise you the following:
Per-rectal and Proctoscopy examination by a General Surgeon or a Proctologist.
Colonoscopy.
Tests of stool, urine and blood.
The treatment will depend upon the final diagnosis and staging.
Please feel free to ask for the further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
Thank you.
Anal fissure - prolapse of mucosa
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
The skin tags if at all present are secondary to anal fissure and also called sentinel piles (not true piles/hemorrhoids).
The protrusion looking purple bulge on bowel movement is indicative of prolapse.
This may be the prolapse of the mucosa of the rectum only.
It is on actual examination by the Surgeon after you are asked to strain that decides the degree of prolapse.
