Suggest Treatment For Mild Traumatic Cataract
Question: I was hit by a semi truck a year ago, and I recently went to an ophthalmologist and he told me I have a mild traumatic cataract. i banged my head pretty hard against the dash, which I think is what caused the problem. I noticed my vision in my left eye was somewhat blurry after the accident and night time driving became near impossible, as the lights would streak like crazy in my left eye. Im just curious of the permanancy of such an injury. Doc said he did not recommend surgery at this time.
Brief Answer:
conservative treatment
Detailed Answer:
My Dear,
Thanks for sending you query to us.
Such indirect injury leads to traumatic cataract. This as in your case did not reduce your vision quantitatively too much as the doctor did not advic surgery but these do cause qualitative change as you are experiencing.
We have to know the name of antiglare drop which you are using.
Have regular follow up with your ophthalmologist to assess when to have surgery.
Any further query in this regard please grt back to me.
