Suggest Treatment For Mood Swings And Short Temper
symptoms suggest psychological problem- try tips
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
On reading your query concerning your husband I strongly feel that his volatile behaviour is related to all the physical sufferings he has been through & still facing.
He must have been very brave and have had a complete support from you as a partner to handle all stresses till now or otherwise these psychological symptoms would have come very early.
He is becoming touchy, irritable, demanding and unpredictable...it looks like he is depressed and needs some help from a trained person..psychiatrist or psyhologist (which ever is feasible for you).
As it is just the begining, and there is no past history of similar behavior, Im hopeful that even only therapy session might bring good relief. However, only after proper interview/ detailed daily routine- one can decide if there is a need for meds too.
Dont worry much about side effects, several safe molecules are there which can be given at old age and to cardiac patients.
You are already being very patient and controlling yourself, which is really appreciable. Do take out time for yourself and go out..otherwise you will burn out.
Continue to avoid confrontations with him ( as much as possible), try to engage him and make him do little works: so that he is busy and his mind is occupied ...
Ask for his help in ways he can- the person who are able to help us, start feeling better about themselves & about you as well...they become softer when they see that they are capable of helping you & irritate less.
Avoid serving & pleasing him all time..this will make him more authoritative..
So, try the tips & take him for councelling sessions.
Best wishes!
