Question: Hi I am producing lots of salty sliva ,I had a large amount of uailsers a week ago which have cleared up now apart form one which apperded last night .i went to my gp about the uailsers and she said that it was viral and it will go on its own .is the sliva form the mouth healing is self .?

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having excessive salivation.


Based on your clinical details, it ( salivation occurs due to mouth ulcers.

Most of the oral sores are viral one, self limiting, needs steroids or antiviral medications in case of sevear infections. salivation is common in active phase as well as healing phase.


Do not worry, it takes time to resolve. Mean time, you can start over the counter multivitamins one tab at bed time. gargle mouth wash and brushing to reduce salivation.
