Brief Answer:
You can give local anesthesia to a patient with MS.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic.
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

There is no reason for a patient with multiple sclerosis to avoid local anesthesia. It is not contraindicated in MS.
The only thing you should keep in mind that local anesthesia is like any other stressor can cause acute exacerbation in MS patients. So you should inform this to patient prior to surgery. Also get fitness from a physician and anesthetist to avoid unwanted legal complications.
If you going for a lengthy procedure, it is better to go for general anesthesia instead of regional block.

Hope I have answered your query.
Thanks
