Suggest Treatment For Muscle Spasms In The Groin Area

Question: I'm a 49 year old male who, for the past week, has experienced a humming/vibration sensation in my left thigh/groin area, akin to the vibrate mode on a cell phone. The sensation is intermittent. It is not painful, but is irritating. No motor weakness noted
Brief Answer:
Mild muscle spasms
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You have noticed a vibration feeling on the side of your leg in the pocket area. This is a common problem and probably due to mild muscle spasms or twitching. There is nothing per se that is causing the problem. It should resolve in a few days. I recommend drinking plenty or fluids to maintain good hydration, avoid caffeine and some gentle walking exercises.
If you do use your cell phone in your pocket I would recommend removing the phone and placing it somewhere else that may not be associated with the leg
