Suggest Treatment For Muscle Weakness In Limbs And Thyroid Problem

Unlikely ALS
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.
The fact remains that the ALS does not have sensory symptoms.
In your query, you have mentioned that you get numbness and therefore, I think it is unlikely that you have ALS.
Still, it would be good to rule it our by testing. So I would suggest that you try to get the following tests -
1. A ncv
2. A emg.
As for thyroid, it's a simple blood test.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible TIA and possible diabetes. I would suggest that you try to get a MRI BRAIN with angiography and FBS PPBS tested.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.

That can be denervation
Detailed Answer:
That symptom is not specific to ALS.
It is known in other condition including neuropathy and myopathy.
As I suggested test a NCS and EMG.
Thanks for your response.

I don't think that it is ALS.
I agree that the symptoms Are suggestive of ALS.
But there are other conditions that can cause the same set of symptoms.
SInce ALS cannot be treated I would like to consider the other possible causes before saying it is ALS Unless otherwise proven in a test.
