Question: I am really scared that i have ALS, i have been having muscle weakness for like 6 weeks now, if you look at my last few qeustions ive asked on here theyve been over the same concern. Its kind of weak in my right forearm, but it more just feels like soreness and sometimes a little numb, and then i have also felt weakness in my legs too... Im just really scared that i have ALS, i have also considered that i have a thyroid problem that could be causing issues because i have also been feeling really tured lately and i have also been dealing with digestive issues and headache problems for like 9 months, along with my anxiety about thinking that i have ALS.

Brief Answer:
Unlikely ALS

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your query.
I think I would be able to help you.
The fact remains that the ALS does not have sensory symptoms.
In your query, you have mentioned that you get numbness and therefore, I think it is unlikely that you have ALS.
Still, it would be good to rule it our by testing. So I would suggest that you try to get the following tests -
1. A ncv
2. A emg.
As for thyroid, it's a simple blood test.

The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible TIA and possible diabetes. I would suggest that you try to get a MRI BRAIN with angiography and FBS PPBS tested.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
