Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Mr XXXXXX
Majority of respiratory infection are self limiting, all that is needed is supportive care. Absence of fever is very reassuring thing.
i would also suggest the following which will definitely help
1. Normal Saline Nasal drops ( Nasoclear ) : 2 drops in each nostril thrice a day
2. Syrup Sinarest 2 ml thrice a day
3. Decoction: 1 cup of milk + 20 tulsi leaves + 2 black pepper + 1 spoon turmeric + 2 gm fresh ginger + 2 spoon sugar. Bring it to boil. Filter it and feed the baby warm using spoon. This will be very useful in relieving throat congestion
4. 1 spoon of honey + 2 drops of lemon juice. Make him sip it thrice a day
5. Keep baby warm by appropriate clothing's
6. Steam inhalation using electronic steamer: ensure safe distance from baby
I am quite sure it will be helpful.

My son is having a shrill sound when he breathes...which appears more from throat than nose..is it normal after nasal congestion?
Brief Answer:
They are conducted sounds
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings
When there is nasal congestion, the increased nasal secretion are swallowed (Post nasal drip), this leads to sound in the throat. If the respiratory rate is less than 40 per minute there is no cause for concern.
Kindly follow the remedy as advised.
