Suggest Treatment For Nasal Polyp In Both Sides Of Nose
Question: I Have got nasal polyp in my Left as well as right Nose.Facing the issue for Last 6 months.Polyp size increases or decreases irregularly.Kindly suggest the way forward to recover from the problem.

Both sides polyps means that you are most probably having the polyps due to allergy. This is a recurrent condition and polyps will keep coming and going.
I would like you to meet your ent doctor , who may ask you some blood tests like eosinophil count for determining the extent of allergy and may ask you to do a CT scan of the nose and sinuses to find the extent of the polyps.
Most odf the patients can be managed medically by short course of oral steroids followed by steroid nasal sprays , in addition many drugs like moteleukast , cetrizine etxc can be tried in various permutations to help bring relief and keep the patient asymtomatic.
Please remember that all of these drugs have side effects and i would like you to meet your ENT doctor for discussing this and for the prescription.
Please dont delay as the polyps will continue to increase in size causing nasal block and even sinusitis.
There is no local/home remedy and i would strongly recommend that you dont waste time and meet your doctor as soon as possible.
In the rare event that the polyps are extensive or you are very symptomatic, you may be offered surgery as an option. Please dont worry as this is not a very extensive surgery and will give u relief much faster. However i would like you to keep in mind that there is a very big chance of recurrence and you will need medications and regular follow up after your surgery.
