Question: Hello I'm about five days late on my period. It was suppose to be here March 8 and today is March 13. Also I had unprotected sex with my partner on February 25 However I've had all the symptoms of when it would start nausea, change in my skin (oily and pimples), cramps, lower back ache, and sore beasts. Starting this morning when I wipe I have this dark brown discharge and it's mucus looking. Could it be a late period coming or should I be thinking about pregnancy?

I can understand your concern.

The chances of pregnancy have always been there with unprotected sex.( in your case you had unprotected sex during your fertile period).

Both the possibilities are there in your case it can be due to pregnancy or your impending period.

To rule out pregnancy, you should go for a home urine pregnancy test after 2 days( usually done 7 days after missed period date).

If test results are negative, you can wait for your period for one week.
