Suggest Treatment For Neck Pain And Headaches
Question: I just had a c6-c7 total disc arthroplasty on June10th. I am not feeling well at all. I am having issues with swallowing which I was told could take a few weeks. But it has now been 6 days with no bowel movement and I am having really bad pain in my neck and having headaches. Should I be concerned? Or will this go in time?
Brief Answer:
Possibility of medication related complications
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern..
The pain should decrease with time and medication requirements decrease. Some times headache occurs due to stress, anesthesia complications or migraine attacks which should improve gradually.
Constipation seems to be related to medications being taken.
You should get stool softener or enema.
Imaging may be repeated if pain persists for long.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
