Suggest Treatment For Neck Pain, Tingling Sensation In The Left Hand And Abdominal Pain
Question: Hello.
I'm worried about my father (70 years old). I am an RN and know just enough to worry. History of prediabetes reversed with diet and exercise and a hip surgery 3 years ago. I saw him yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks and while he had looked slightly jaundiced previously he was now markedly so. He has purpura on his forearms and face at a minimum, joint pain and swelling, neck pain and reports tingling in his left hand when he turns his neck. During these 2 weeks he has also developed irregular fatty tissue deposits under his skin. Denies back or abdominal pain.

Brief Answer:
Any abdominal pain? Any weight loss?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am so sorry to hear about these findings. I will like to know whether your dad has any weight loss or severe abdominal pain? If these are absent, then pancreatic cancer is unlikely. I am rather leaning towards a possible live disease given the bleeding problem as well.
In all, am more towards a liver than pancreatic disease. However, only investigations would give the definitive answer. Am more confident this will be least unlikely a pancreatic affection.
Keep me posted.
