Suggest Treatment For Neck Spasms Along With Pain In Right Hand
Question: I am on myospaz tablets for last three weeks due to spasm in my neck there is improvement but still there is pain and effecting my right hand. can I continue this for how long I am taking 3 tablets a day

I read your question and i understand your concern. Myospaz is a chlorzoxazone , a skeletal muscle relaxant and it can be used for a few weeks without any side effects depending on the extent of relief.
I would like you to take it if you don't feel any discomfort taking it for a week more till full spasm resolution. If you ever feel like dizzy or get a rash then stop it. Otherwise there is no harm in continuing the meds for a week more till full recovery.
Apart from it hot warm bath, application of heating pad over tense neck muscles or towel will help just like same. Stretch as much as possible and get some neck muscle massage for more relief.
I would like you to talk to a doctor if the pain persists to rule out other possibilities. Some time a chest pain or a heart problem may present like that and considering your age of 78 i would think being on the safer road would be wise.
