Brief Answer:
This is called Nominal aphasia and is common at our age.

Detailed Answer:
Hi welcome to Health care magic,

This is called Nominal aphasia and is common at our age. I am 64 so I can relate to you.

I forget names of patients if I see them after a long time, but never their illnesses.

It is because we continue to loose neurons in the brain as we age.
The trick is in writing the names down and practicing to avoid embarrassment.

Glutamic acid supplements do help.
Regards
