Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
First of all I like to inform you that abnormal experience that you are subjected for last couple of weeks is part of anxiety and probably nothing different. In medical language it is covered under the umbrella term numbness. Although it is part of anxiety disorder but it does not mean it is normal. It occurs commonly among the individuals with heightened anxiety and responds well to medications.
In case of poor treatment, as in your case, there is high possibility of persisting psychic pain and somatic symptoms in near future.
I hope this helps you.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
I endorse prescription of paxil for your current problem as it is quite effective and likely to help you in short as well as long run. Your fear of feeling sleepy is genuine concern but I like to inform you that the particular side effect is not so common and you can continue your study despite use of medication. I am of the opinion that medication will help you in tour study.
I understand that numbness have different literal meanings but we need not go to the myriad of terms and need to understand that it is part of anxiety and will respond with anti anxiety medication.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
