Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Both Arms And Intermittent Pins And Needles Sensation Associated With Muscle Twisting

Question: i have numness in both arms and pin like sensation associated with muscle twisting some times... its more in the night and even awake me from sleep and get better during movement.. i am hypertensive and use valsartan

Hi,

Based on symptoms, there could be pinched nerves in the neck region. Sometimes, the nerves in the skin also get compressed while sleeping.

For the relief of symptoms, you can take pregabalin capsules.

If symptoms persist, MRI cervical spine and nerve conduction studies can be done to determine the exact cause of your symptoms.

thank you doctor for your answer... and may be this the reason because i am using 2 pilows for long time as i have GERD and afraid of regurigtation during sleeping... but i have numbness in face also it can be from neck compression also or other reason... and i am using valsartan if there is any relation between it and my sypmtoms... if there is any other alternative drug i can use because pregabalin not given as over the counter medication because some addiction here in middle east... and i am working in far area i can not go to hospital in next week...

Yes, using two pillows can predispose to compression of nerves in the neck.

Valsartan is not related to your symptoms.

Facial numbness may be unrelated.

i also have insomnia for 2 days... but i dont know is it from anxiety just or same problem...and is this all symptoms can be phsycological just or it is functional and how can i know because i am anxious in last days and incresed after this numbness..
