Im in no pain. Just the touch of the ski at the feet is slightly numb.
I am waiting for your response.
There can be number of causes in your case.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back and coming up with detailed answers of every question I asked.
Now I will mention some possibilities in your case. After considering your history, description and drugs you are using there are a number of things which can be true in your case.
MY OPINION:
*Possibilities:
1- Peripheral neuropathy:
It might be first signs of peripheral neuropathy, there can be a number of causes in your case, you can read about them and also discuss them with your doctor. They range from your lifestyle to your medicine.
I will mention them here:
-: Possible reasons of peripheral neuropathy;
A- Alcoholic neuropathy:
This is very important cause of neuropathy in patients who consume alcohol daily, its specific mechanism is not known but it is thought to cause it by direct nerve damage or by vitamin B6 and B12 malfunction.
B- Neuropathy due to Lipitor:
Statins are also documented to cause peripheral neuropathy as a side effect
C- Neuropathy caused by ACE inhibitors e-g ramapril:
Ramapril is also known to cause peripheral neuropathy. In patients suspected for ramapril induced neuropathy we usually switch them to other BP lowering meds.
D- Metoprolol:
It's a recent research that metoprolol can also cause neuropathy in selected group of patients, this is rare but documented with research based evidence.
E- Vitamin B6 deficiency:
This is a rare problem but very rarely it can occur in people.
Is it a nerve impingement?
It is less likely to be nerve impingement, because it is very rare that BOTH nerves are impinged at the same time. Usually this happens on one side or if happens on both sides they rarely are equal in intensity, usually they are different in intensity.
But still I would mention here that nerve impingement rarely happens on both sides.
It may also be possible that these are your subjective feelings and there is no organic cause of the problem and you are just feeling the numbness and every thing is fine originally.
SUGGESTIONS:
1- Discuss with your doctor about the problem and possible causes.
2- Start using some multivitamin like Centrum once daily, it will help in replenishing your vitamin deficiency if any, even if there isn't any it is still beneficial.
3- Discuss with your doctor, if he thinks that drinking can be one cause, you will have to consider about leaving it. May be gradually.
4- Discuss about meds and possible side effects, if your doctor thinks it can be the case, you can use an alternative med.
5- Don't take brufen or tylenol, apply Voltral gel or any other topical diclofenac and massage your heels well it will help you.
6- Give rest to your heels, there are special soles which are available in market for diabetic neuropathy etc., these also help for other food problem you can use them.
7- Applying heat compresses helps too.
END NOTE :
This problem shouldn't be a serious one with careful consideration of possible reason and cause you can get better quite easily.
I hope this answered you question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close and rate the discussion:)
Wish you health.
Thank you for your response. The information will be helpful. My condition is improving. Both feet feel better to the touch in the morning. I will consider
all your information moving forward. Thanks.

Your condition is expected to improve with time.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back,
I am pleased that your condition is improving , it is expected to improve with time. What possibilites i mentioned in my answer was those which could cause concern. Otherwise your condition doesn't seem to be very serious it will improve with time you can massage your heels with some softner or brufen cream it will help.
I hope this conversation was helpful, If you have more questions you can ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it. Wish you health :)
It has been eight days since my event. I can say that the foot sensations have decreased , however a SLIGHT numbs is still present outside mid foot on both feet. I can feel a Que tip with a touch anyplace on the feet. When a do my stretching I hear a pop from time to time from my lower lumbar.(no pain)
My wife and I thought my first visit would be with my cardioligest to talk about the drugs. However ! how could they be suspect when I have been taking them for 6 years with no side effects. Also, is an impingement of the spine a tumor ? And if it is, can these or lesions like disorders be remedied ?
Hope you are well
Here is a plan.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back,
I would second what you said about drugs, it is very unlikely that drugs are causing this, specially when you have been using for 6 odd years, but when we answer here at health care magic, we try to touch every possible aspect of our client's problem, we don't really reply with "It is not an alarming thing, wait for some days and you will be fine", we try to give you the closest as well as remotely possible diagnosis and causes. It in turn enables our users to understand their condition better, so that they can opt for better treatment options.
As I mentioned in my previous answer that your symptoms are very localized and benign, this does not support a diagnosis of nerve impingement, neuropathy, or any nerve damage. That's why I suggested you to wait for a few days and if things don't settle then pursue this with a doctor. A cardiologist is not the first person for you to see in this scenario, but a neurologist is, but in the end of this question I will suggest you a proper plan of treatment.
Can this be some things related to your disc and nerves?
Actually that's very unlikely, a disc producing such localized symptoms bilaterally is rare, a crack while stretching, does not signify a disk or vertebral issue it might just be a ligament external to vertebral column which have nothing to do with your spine. A disc usually produces symptoms dominant on one side and there is usually pain and broader area of dysfunctional nerve supply and numbness.
In my opinion, your symptoms are just an occasional event and these are expected to disappear with time. You don't need to visit a doctor at the moment, you might want to wait a week or so to see the progress.
SUGGESTIONS:
1 - Wait for a week more and closely observe the progress.
2 - Start taking Centrum a tablet per day for 15 days.
3 - If things don't settle down in 15-20 days then you can visit a neurologist for a complete neurological check-up for sensory, motor and spinal system. He might also want to run some relevant test on you.
4 - Don't panic and don't take steps in a hurry, this doesn't seem to be an alarming condition as yet, you can deal with it, with patience and ease.
Here I would also mention that spine tumour without any other symptoms is also very unlikely but if this doesn't settle and you visit a neurologist, he will do a check-up for every thing. I think with such benign symptoms cause wont be an alarming one.
Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help. If not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
Good Health to you and family.
