Brief Answer:
Try pregabalin or gabapentin.

Detailed Answer:
I read your questions and I understand your concern. Neuropathic pain can be a very bothersome symptom for patients with nerve damage.

Generally if the usual over the counter medications like Ibuprofen do not work to ease your symptoms, the preferred drugs are anticonvulsants such as Pregabalin or Gabapentin. The dosage can vary, it's started with the lowest possible dose and if ineffective it can be increased.
Another alternative is the class of tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptilyne or duloxetine.
Judging by your age and the possibility of side effects I would start with Pregabalin.
They are all prescription drugs so you should discuss their use and have a prescription by your doctor.

I hope to have been of help.
