Brief Answer:
Likely due to hormonal changes

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
Please upload a picture of the edematous legs and also your results so that I get a better idea of the magnitude of the problem. This may be related to the hormonal changes that occur in you in connection with your menstrual cycles. Till we are able to nail your problem , restrict salt and fluids as these tend to make the edema more.
As for the symptoms of blurred , double vision , numbness and difficulty in urinating it would be better to see a Neurologist and exclude Multiple sclerosis.
Take care

Hi I have been experiencing pitting edeama in both legs on and off for a year, i have low sodium its tested every month.along with sporadic blurred and double vision that sometimes comes with eye pain, also trouble urinating, muscle weakness and cold numb fingers and toes. ive been tested for lupus and lyme disease they checked my kidney and liver functions my dr says to put my feet up but even if it goes away for a bit it comes back and it seems to progressivly be getting worse! i have been charting when it seems to come on and it has nothing to do with my menstral cycle or hormones. i also am experiencing occasional confusion and having trouble with word recall.

Brief Answer:
Require neurological examination and investigation

Detailed Answer:
It would be good for you to see a Neurologist and have a thorough investigation as your persistent low sodium requires to be investigated. In the meanwhile restrict fluids.
