Seborrheic dermatitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back...
Thanks for answers and photo. After reading answers, I deeply feel that you may be having seborrheic dermatitis. It is a chronic inflammatory skin disease occuring in seborrheic areas like scalp, eye brows, beard, paranasal areas, post auricular areas, chest, axillae and groin. In your case it is restricted to scalp only. The bad effect of the disease is increased hair fall and retarded hair growth. Exact cause is not known. Genetic tendency may be there. Yeast like mellassazia may be responsible. Stress and excessive sun rays exposure may be the triggering factors. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and perfect treatment. Still, I would suggest as follow....
- antihistaminics like levocetirizine
- steroids in tappering dose
- antifungal like ketoconazole
- application of mild steroid with salicylic acid lotion like poridip S lotion
- shapoo daily with keyoconazole combined with salicylic acid like Salicia KT shampoo
- avoidance of triggering factors
I hope this would help you in managing your problem. Still, any query, you are welcome. Long term treat may be required.Have patience for the good result.
Thanks.
